Deleting a forum

is it possible to delete a forum that you have already created? I ask this because i want to create a second forum for something and when i try to create it, i get a message saying that there has already been a forum created with that email address. i tried changing my email address on the forum, but even after i did that i still got the message saying that i couldn't create. Does anyone know what i could do about it?
