Allow guests to be able to view chatbox

This suggestion's really simple (and should be optional of course), but I just thought if administrators wanted guests to see what's being said in the chatbox then they should be able to view the chatbox (without being able to write a message of course).

Thoughts?

I've seen it on other forums (usually a shoutbox though, but same sort of thing), and it's quite good. and IMO it could still be a privilege even if there are guests viewing it, keeping in mind they can't post any messages. And it's also interesting for guests to see what sort of things get discussed in a chatbox.

Voted no, a ChatBox won't really interest a guest that much. If he/she wishes to post in the ChatBox, then they should register. Smile

That's what I want on it too.

This is on every single pbpbb forum that has a shoutbox and it works well in my opinion.

Okay first of all, I voted yes, because there is no harm in having this option, since some people would like this to happen on their forums, when others don't.

Secondly, you can have a good shoutbox instead, which you can post in a Forum Description, and make it viewable either to only the Registered Members+, or including Guests. Secondly, you can post a shoutbox in the Homepage Message, which I have done, and it looks very great on my forums.
www.lg-club.co.cc <--- You don't have to register to view the shoutbox!

Also, I don't really like the Chatbox that Forumotion offers us, except for the powers that we get as Admins on the chatbox! Very Happy
