Database Empty Database

I've got NO idea how forumotion works, so I'm gonna ask something.
Does it use an SQL database?
If so, how do I back it up, download it and restore it?

Forumotion has a SQL but they won't give it to us.

You are allowed to restore your forum if something happens.
