Wont let me add ads to my site

Everytime i got to my home page message in admin and try adding

For my google ads it says please select a catagory ???
Its got a old add on there but isnt showing the code for it which i also cant delete for some reaon

Actully it worked for me ok.
when you say homepage message?
do you mean your homepage (Generalities?)
if so i put it there and it's working fine.. nice banner flash add by the way.

select category? whaaaa?

admin panel>display. on the left hand side you'll see a (homepage box).
click on Generalities. there is nothing there that says select categories..
so maybe your trying to add it somewhere else?

Yes i know but when i put the code and and click save at the top it comes up in red and says error seclect catagory!
Thats what i though was wierd and im in admin pane and there still isnt any code showing in ti
