What is the easiest and safest way to upgrade an existing standard phpBB forum, I have heard that there is a way that it can be done without going to CP/Database, is that right??, if so, how?, the only place I can think of on the Admin section is the "restore database", but wouldn't that wipe out all the current infomation including posts/topics etc??, anyone here know??.

Hello,

im sorry but you will not be able to "upgrade" to another forum host, as u don't have access to the database if u wish to take ur posts, users ect with you.

It is impossible without the database.

I was talking about forum upgrading in general really, if for example you have a forum and there is an update available on your host or maybe even just a better capcha for security, what would be the easiest way to incorporate the upgrade onto your forum without deleting any other information??.

OK, we dont have to worry about any of that information; forumot4ion does that automatically for us.
