Domain Name issues

Hello,

I am looking to buy a domain for my forum. Currently the address is monstermods.finddiscussion.com. I would like to change it to www.monstermodsforum.com. BUT if I do this and my users attempt to go to the original address will they be redirected? Or will I have to alert them before-hand?

I think you have to warn them....

Hello,

if your users attempt to connect to your forum via the old address, it will temporarily work; as a re-direction but then after a few weeks it will no-longer become valid to you, as you have a Personalized Domain Name.

Bit it is best to warn them first Wink

thats what I was thinking. That is good enough, just a mass pm and email. Plus Ill put a announcement on the forum, plus stickys on every page.
