Advertisements & Website Redirects

Several of my users are complaining that they are getting redirected to other websites, quite often it happens several times per attempt to view forum/portal.

I have purchased credits to discontinue the advertisements in the admin panel. I have applied those to the cause of not having the ad's. I have also checked every box I could locate to not display them via the admin panel.

Several of the users have also complained that their virus protection software (one user mention having Avest) was advising there was a Trojan. I have not experienced this personally, but their complaints continue.

So, what advice to do you have to confirm that this problem is not coming from the portal or forum hosted here?

I don't get any advertisements on your forum, nor do i get redirected to any other site? Does it happen on a specific browser. Also which antivirus gives you the warning?

It is my understanding that it is happening on the portal page. The browsers being used are Firefox, IE and Chrome.

The only anti virus mentioned was McAfee advising that there is a possible security threat on our site.

It is currently not happening on the portal page.
I am not sure if its a serious threat, which mcafee is showing up.

This issue has been resolved. It seems to have been coming from a shout box widget I had installed. I have removed and replaced this widget and the complaints have stopped. So, until further notice this issue has been resolved.
