Final Fantasy Reverie - Page 2 Empty Re: Final Fantasy Reverie

Post by Judge Vincent Valentine March 18th 2010, 4:58 am

Gretchen removed the key that she always keeps round her neck, and unlocked the chest a blast of power emitted from the chest as if it was awakening for the first time in years. She removed from the chest an object wrapped in cloth. Gretchen gently removed the cloth from the object. The object was a short sword of the purest white, Jewels were inlaid in the hilt shimmered with power.

Gretchen held the blade in front of her the blade pointing in the air as if she was saluting someone. "Heavens hidden power, entrusted to the Guardians, I speak in whispers as your humble servant. Become my blade, my soul, Bring your eternal light forward and shine upon the world." Spoke Gretchen softly, a light burst from the blade and engulfed Gretchen.

" You, who wish to use our power," Spoke the sword with a soft voice. " What is it you desire, Your intentions must be pure or we will destroy you." Gretchens hair flew around her as she spoke to the sword. "My intention is to bring peace once again to this world, To destroy the shadow that engulfs the land, will you hear my plea?"

" Your intentions are of pure heart, Gretchen Spellweaver. We shall entrust our powers to you, and of your friends. But they must unlock this power from deep within, You shall serve as their guide. This is your price, you must pay. Remember the Heavens are watching. Now Go forth and become once again a Hero." The sword spoke as the light began to dim. Gretchen was now wearing pure white robes and the wrinkles on her face slowly began to fade, Her hair what once was silvery was now, a firey red.

Post by Judge Vincent Valentine March 10th 2011, 9:03 pm

Greetings,

*We are swiftly approaching The Reverie’s second birthday. Things have greatly changed over the year.

*We’ve changed directions from a Final Fantasy dedicated site to more of a Role Playing site.

*Our leveling system has simplified and is now based upon your Role-Playing post count so the more you play the more you level.

*Our guilds are working on a restructure. Now the guilds will offer in world missions for you to complete. The Legend Slayers are a more fighting oriented guild. Nox Cursori is a more story-telling oriented guild so we can cater to the players role-playing style.

*On March 16th we hope to be rolling out the newest expansion to the Role-Play system. We can’t reveal to much yet but it involve a bunch of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

We’ve had some changes to the staff over the year, but we’re all working together to make the site all that it can be, coming up with ideas, changing things so they hopefully work better, and just making The Reverie an enjoyable place to stay.

We hope you’ll decide to come by and see the changes, and maybe decide to stay a while. We look forward to seeing you around and as always if there si anything you desire just let us know and we’ll try our best to comply to your wishes (as long as their reasonable, I can’t buy you a car I’m sorry).

Best Wishes,

Post by Judge Vincent Valentine March 15th 2011, 6:48 pm

Hello Everyone,

We have decided to tweak the guilds a bit to hopefully help them serve you better. We now have 2 guilds currently available. The Legend Slayers and Nox Cursori, each guild is geared to a different RP style.

The Legend Slayers focus more on fighting. For example if you are a member of The Legend Slayers a quest you are given might consist of eliminating a bandit troupe or some sort of monster to steal an artifact or just because the bandits/monsters are bad and someone wanted them dead. There would be some story but more action.

Nox Cursori focuses more on storytelling. A Quest for A member of Nox Cursori might consist of traveling someplace to gather information to find a lost artifact, or to locate someone who is lost. There would be some action but it would focus on your characters story.

Each guild has a room to receive quests, a shop with special guild items not available in the open stores, and a third room specific to that guild.

If you have any questions or comments or would like to learn a bit more about either guild please feel free to ask.

The Guild Masters are:
The Legend Slayers - Atnem/Atnem Mackey
Noc Cursori - Mother Yackle/Rieka

After much toiling and footwork, and many nights of coffee. The staff is happy to bring you the third installment to the Eternal Quest RP system.

The guardians have failed and disappeared when the universe needs them the most. The Gods have fled this plane of existence for the safe heaven of the heavens.

At the gates of the end, stands a dark army awaiting the destruction of this universe. The first target is Lanatha, this was the first to fall. From there the Dark Lords armies tore down the few remaining barriers barring his existence in this universe. All Hope has fallen and it is up to those who are brave enough, to travel the passageways of time, and heal this universe. Hurry for I feel the end is near.

Final Fantasy Reverie - Page 2 Empty Re: Final Fantasy Reverie

Post by Judge Vincent Valentine June 1st 2011, 5:27 pm

Greetings everyone,

The Reverie has recently passed it's second birthday. Over the years the site has changed quite a bit. The most noticeable changes have been in the development of our Role Play system. It's almost unrecognizable from what it was in the beginning. Because of this we seem to have developed growing pains, where new members could be slightly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of places and back stories, and don't quite know where to jump in and begin telling your stories. Even older members have seen their characters develop and change and may want a new beginning.

You do not have to remake your character, but if there's something you desire to change now is the perfect opportunity. We hope to have everything set up by mid-June. As we work sections will disappear, but we will have a new clean spam section for you to mess around in. It would be a great time to re-imagine your story and think of where you want to go.

If you have any concerns or suggestions please we highly encourage you to let us know. It's our members that make this site the wonderful place it is. We would be nothing with out you and your input.

Devotedly Yours.
Rieka and The Reverie Staff.

Captain Jack wrote:Hello, everyone.

It pleases me to announce that part of the
Eternal Quest RP system is ready for you to access, and begin your
adventure. We have went through and made it easier for you to create
your characters and begin your stories.

You may start signing up here : http://www.ffreverie.net/t1317-sign-up-form.htm

All profiles have been archived. and we all are beginning afresh. The job
class travelers has been rewritten, also further power-caps (to prevent
powerplaying) have been added to the system. Here are some more things
that have been changed.

Locations thinned down.
Easy access to information.
Jobs and races thinned.
Rp-wide plots removed (For the time being we want you to create your own stories.)

We hope you enjoy what we have done to the system and hopefully we have thinned out alot of confusion.

December is nearly here! and with it it brings vacations from school, Snow and most of all Presents!

So here's my present to you. A More creativity friendly RP system. One where you can further customize your characters, New races, New Places, New Magics, new weaponry. We at FFR had forgotten what it truly meant to RP. and thats to make the best damn stories we can. No more level constrictions, No more dancing around of "Oh crap i Just thought of the most uber amazing thing. BUT QQ i cant use it."

And best of all Jack is finally back from dealing with several serious Real life issues (hes crazy! no im not... YES YOU ARE!)

So that being said I welcome you all back and hope you post because I personally Know we can do amazing things with our minds. I mean last year we blew up a universe! (very timey wimey spacy wacy)

The annual Christmas Festival is also approaching. this is a fun time for our characters as Jack has a nack of mixing things up with much Yule Tide spirit!

Respond to this PM with your own insights, complaints, or whatever and earn 20,000Gil to use in our Newly Renovated shops (well not yet im getting to it!)

The Reverie is back and with a new RP story. Join us at www.ffreverie.forumotion.net TODAY

The forums RP system has been simplified and made much more user friendly IE: one post and your signed up kinda easy.

New and old staff have returned.

and also the christmas party starts soon!

It's been 200 years since the Guardians defeated the Dark Lord on the Plains of Paramina. The gods thought that since they gave the lands the Guardians to protect them they would be happy, but many died in the war, and in the famines and droughts that followed. The people cursed the names of the gods, blaming them for the wrongs of the world.

Some gods grew angry at the people for rejecting them, for cursing them. The more they saw and heard the harder their hearts became. They were no longer the gods of the land. They became twisted versions of their previous selves reaching down to spread more misery among the people who rejected them. They were The Fallen.

The other gods retreated, no longer concerning themselves with the lives of men. Waiting until the world could be theirs again. Or until it became time to make a new world.

Humans began blaming the other races for their woes. Being far out-manned the Vampires and Werewolves retreated from the lands of Humans returning to lives of seclusion. As they retreated others came from the mountains. Some Elves began venturing out from the hidden valleys teaching humans better ways to grow food and craft goods while some Dwarves came out from under the mountains and began crafting tools, weapons, and Armour for the surfacers.

As the knowledge of these two races spreads trying to better the lives of men so does the power of the Fallen run rampant. Corrupting the weak to do their bidding, commanding men to ransack the land.

Will the world ever be at peace again? Will the remaining gods grace the world with Guardians to protect them again or are we all cursed to fall to darkness and be devoured by evil?
