User granted special access

how do i do where it says only users granted special access can view the forum

Go to your administration panel.
Click Forum.
Click the forums you wish for special access.

If you want only registered user to view forum. Click Read & Write: Register [Hidden], Groups: Read & Write: Private [Hidden], etc.

You can also change the settings there.

I want everyone to beable to view the forum but only certain ones to beable to view and read and repl and stuff to the topics

Okay change as follows:

Click Forum
Go down to Forum Permission Controls after you click the forum.

Change Read, Reply, and Other Stuff to Groups. Then go to Groups Admin and click permissions on the group you wish to have access. Then click give access to that group.

do u mean that u want some users to be like "banned" from entering the forum?!....or permiting the normal members from accessing a special section in your forum?!
