Solved multi forums in one

Post by Xenos June 17th 2009, 11:40 pm

hi, i have been reading the tutorial for multiple forums in one, like here on forumotion.

tutorial link : https://help.forumotion.com/tricks-tips-f32/multi-forums-in-one-t21989.htm

on the tutorial it explains how to do 4, 6 and 8 forums, but i have 15 forums that i would like to it with (so i would need the code for 16), and there will possibly be more in the future. i would like them going down in 2 rows.

so...... i am wondering how you work out the code to increase the amount of forums you want to do it with?

i think it would be better for me to know how to work out the code myself, rather than asking someone else to do it every time i expand my forum.

thanks Smile Smile

Um... I'm not sure, but I can only have a guess.

Code:
cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2">

Change the numbers. Like, double it. So... where it has '2', put '4' ect, ect... I'm not sure if that is what you do, but try that and see if it works.

ok, thanks, if it cant be done then its ok.

i arnt sure that would work as looking at jalokim's tutorial it shows

for 4
Code:
<table width="100%" border="1" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5">

for 6
Code:
<table width="100%" border="1" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2">

for 8
Code:
<table width="100%" border="1" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2">

i noticed that
Code:
<td>&nbsp;</td>
    <td>&nbsp;</td>
    <td>&nbsp;</td>
    <td>&nbsp;</td>
  </tr>
is put in more times to increase it but i cant figure out how.
