Should staters of Topics be able to Lock that topic?
Locking topics.
I believe that if you start the topic you should be able to lock it. As well Admins, Mods, etc will be able to lock also.
EDIT: as COR3 has said we should have the opition to enable it on our forums.
Position: Topic starters should be able to lock their own topics.
Kinko
EDIT: this should go with Suggestions for the support forum also. I dont wanna post it in both. so just asume that its for both
Thanks

Re: Locking topics.
Not a good idea...
The members will abuse the power of locking their own topics, and this will annoy admins and mods, and maybe some other members...

Re: Locking topics.
No, because it would make the members look like Admins and Mods.

Re: Locking topics.
Voted no, because if another user posts a similar query in that topic & the original author locks the thread. Its a nuisance then.

Re: Locking topics.
It'd be farfetched but for people who DO want it, we could at least have the choice of it being enabled. My forum, invision.prophpbb.com, has this feature, however is not Forumotion.

Re: Locking topics.
it's because if they are allowed to lock there own topic's they can even lck a spam topic which is created by them and it's even like taht they will become like moderator

Re: Locking topics.
I've seen this on a forum and it didn't work so great. They had to remove the option so that it wouldn't cause any problems.

I vote yes to this, on the basis that it would be an option that the administrator could give it out, and maybe even allow it being a permission per forum area.

I agree with the people that go against this. Spam, confusion, etc.

Re: Locking topics.
Voted no, because this is not necessary, and it would also ruin the Ranks on the forums, if random members are given this access.
