automatic account activation help
Hello all,
I was wondering my friend registered on my forum it said when he finished registering, "however this forum does not have automatic acoount activation" or something.
How can i make it so that when a person becomes a member, then can automatically start asking questions?
Thanks again everybody

Re: automatic account activation help
Hello !
You must go to your administration panel -> General Admin -> Configuration and check "Enable account activation" to admin.
However, the new members will have to validate their registration by clicking on the link in the validation email they have received ... so they can automatically start asking questions few minutes after they have registered.
I hope this will answer your question

Re: automatic account activation help
No, it's not possible. The activation key is necessary, sorry.
You can leave a message on the homepage to tell that the Hotmail users must look in their spam mail to find the activation mail. You can also specify that AOL addresses must be avoided because they block the activation mails.
NOTICE : I erased your last post, because it was identical to the previous one. I will not warn you because it happened to me in the past to double-post, thinking my message hasn't been taken into account because of an error message or another small glitch
