Locked
I wanted to be the only one to post to a forum; so I Locked the forum. But now I cannot find any way I can post to that forum.
Do I have to keep un-locking it before I can post (if I am signed in as Admin)?
Please advise and thank you.

Re: Locked
No, just click the button (in that forum) that would normally say "New Topic", but should now say "Locked". That should bring you to the new topic screen.

What sworddude247 said was perfect, but I'll try to explain it better.
Just simply clicked the LOCKED button replacing the Post Reply button, you can still post.

Not working
I signed-in as admin and then I clicked on the Lock button (on top screen which I believe is called Category), but nothing happened. No post window opened.
Trying to explain it better.....
There is a Lock on Category (click on that and nothing happens), but when I go to the forum (in that Category), there is no lock button pictured (or no New Post pictured), therefore I cannot click on Lock button.
I am the person who originated forum and only one who signs in as admin.

Re: Locked
Hello,
It appears that you are the founder administrator.
Ok, when you "lock" a topic, from topic permissions, via the admin panel, it locks it solid, no replies, or new topics can be made in there.
You would have to unlock it via the admin panel, then make ur new post, then re-lock it via the admin panel if you wish to have the section locked via the admin panel.
However, my personal alternative (the one I use) is this:
I start a new topic, and lock it via the moderator's tool, tell my admin/mod team to NEVER UNLOCK THIS TOPIC without first seeking permission from me.
Because I have the "quick reply" active, I can make a reply via that as per usually, as im an admin, and "locked" topics don't really change my posting powers - I can still post.
As for hitting the "locked" button, im unsure if that would work, and I doubt that it would work, as you have to unlock it to make a reply.
I hope that this post has been informative, and answered your problem.
Sincerely,
Darren.

Re: Locked
Thanks everyone.
Have decided to un-lock, post item, and then re-lock.
