Can somebody explain to me what this means please?

3. Always show the 1st message in the top of multiple pages subjects: General >> messages and emails >> configuration >> Always show the first message in the topics

Sorry, I just don't understand what this means. If you'd got into it with more detail i'd be grateful.

It means that if there is more than one page the very first post will always be shown on the top as something to refer to.
