Move Solved Topics to a 'Solved' Section?
Moving Solved Topics
Instead of flooding the boards with messages like "Since this topic is solved, I'll set it as solved and lock it", how about just moving them to a new section called 'Solved Archive' or something? That way, we can see the latest support questions without having "SOLVED", "This thread is solved", and other stuff. I found several interesting questions that I thought were answered today, but then I discovered that they were locked and set as Solved. It's easier to just look at the latest posts in a specific discussion forum right away, but we aren't capable of doing that with support threads being locked and having "This thread is now solved" posts on the threads.

Re: Moving Solved Topics
I can see the thread is directed towards me.
Oh well, i just feel locking the thread is good enough. Its more of a pain to move it honestly.
I won't vote on this. Maybe if you add something like just locking then i might.

Re: Moving Solved Topics
How about just moving the thread to a Solved Archive instead of saying the thread is locked and solved? It can be mentioned in the rules for the 'Solved Archive' that replying to the solved posts is prohibited.

Re: Moving Solved Topics
Well moving it to a locked forum is easier, it gets locked automatically. However, we will still need to post something in that thread before moving it, some draft has to be there. Can't just go on moving threads, no history of who has done what.

Re: Moving Solved Topics
That's true, but still, the user's problem would be solved anyway. There wouldn't be no reason to why that user should go back to the thread and just make a discussion for no reason, lol.
Anyway, ther could be an addition the the support rules stating that once your question/problem is solved, your thread will be dispatched to the 'Solved Archive' section.
Also, sorry for making you feel bad by making this thread, Sanket.

Re: Moving Solved Topics
Sounds to much work for us. If there was a tool to make the topics be moved faster than I would go for this but till we have a tool for moving topics faster its a no for me. But we have to post in the topic saying topic solved locked so we know eho did it and know who to whip if it isn't solved

Re: Moving Solved Topics
Look at what I found by doing a search
Clean up for the forum (still open)
and a
Solved forum (by Scamite, STILL open)
Double topic = lame.
My decisions = Yes, but no - Too long to explain

Re: Moving Solved Topics
man but leaving the final comment is the best part of being staff.
its like the bold and colored full stop.
this thread is locked...
and I'll mark it as solved
and done
staff members need to keep their post count up ...

Re: Moving Solved Topics
I vote yes, but instead of locking it and moving it. Just move it and set the forum permissions so that no one can post which is just like a locked topic.
