how do you know? and how would they put it there?
run a scan on your page and see if you can find out what it is then you might be able to narrow it down?

also give me your link. if you page/forum has a virus i will be able to detect it right away

It has many a times happened with mcafee & norton as it showing those kind of warnings even when there is nothing.

If there was a problem with forumotion, we would have seen many threads created here about the same.

Rest assured, i don't see it as a problem.

i agree with sanket.

my Bitdefender picks nothing up and that is very strict when it comes to websites with virus.

for a virus to attach its self to a forumotion forum wouldnt it need access to the database?
unless of course you added it your self with javascript or ActiveX or something like that, which i cant see that happening.

I don't have any warning on your forum. You might want to download Avast and see what it gets you.

i had a quick look on the net about the virus, there is not much information about it, but when it is mentioned, Kaspersky is also mentioned, and in a few of them "false Positive" is also mentioned.

what does that mean?

EDIT: Went on Kaspersky's website, looks like its something specific to them. Check out this site:

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=125913&st=0&gopid=1046618&#entry1046618

EDIT 2: Kapersky have said its a false detection and it will be fixed it their next update!

no it's not.

kate27 wrote:How?

lets not all get into a panic here folks.
It's because the software/protection you are using dose not recognise the site. you have to go into your firewall setting or you virus settings and allow the site then it will not pop up anymore. or what ever you are using when it pops up hit deny.

90% of the time this dose this because it dose not recognise the site.
now if it is a real virus then scan the page and try to determine where the trojan/virus is coming from? it sometimes can be corrupt html/java or flash codes. or run a full scan for your computer and see what they are and where they are coming from scan on your computer
