Great Bank Idea Empty Great Bank Idea

Post by Theforum August 18th 2009, 10:59 pm

I think that I have an idea that might work, first you need to make a forum called 'Bank Accounts'. Then a user asks asks the founder (or whoever can add or take away points) to make him a bank a account by posting his bank account in the 'Bank Accounts' forum. Then the user with a bank account asks anyone who can take and add points from any member how many points he would like to deposit in the bank. The founder takes away those many points the user asked. Finally, the founder posts how many points the user has, how many he took away, and the User's name. Whenever the user wants to take points from his bank account, the founder would just search for the topic that the user made for a bank, and he would see how many points the user had and then he would give the user the points the user wants. (The forum 'Banks Accounts would have to be locked though.)
Example: user: I want to create a bank account
founder: (makes a topic like in the instructions)
user: I want to deposit 100 points. (user has 200)
What founder put in the topic:
Username: user
Points:200
Amount of Deposit:100
Bank Balance:100
Points Left:100
Withdraw Amount:0

user: I want to withdraw 50 points.
founder:(changes whatever he needs to change.)

Username: user
Points:200
Amount of Deposit:100
Bank Balance:50
Withdraw Amount:50

If you are going to use this for your forum, you must put a link to my forum next to your post.

Which in itself is a suggestion. Very Happy

But seriously though, this is already possible through use of donating points to other members on your forums. For example, on my forum, we allow members to open up their shops, and charge a certain amount of the forum's currency for their 'products'. When a member wishes to make a 'purchase', they contact administration by making a thread in the subforum, stating how much they wish to withdraw and which member is receiving it.

It works similar to a bank already.
