Chat box Problem on my site

Hi sorry if done this wrong first time contacting

The Problem I am having is my Chat is lagging, Sometimes takes 1 second to send a message however more often than not it takes over a minute for message to come through!

The chat box is located in a portal with me and not on the homepage. It has being like this since I created the forum however only recently started doing this.

I have tried using other chats however I actually like the capabilities of the chatbox add on! So can you please help me out thanks!

The lag is there since its not a actual chat window, nothing can be done to avoid it.
