complaints
One of our members wants to complain about another forumotion forum, how does she do that, she doesnt want to complain to the admin of the forum, but to the hosts, ie forumotion.
Thank you

Re: complaints
Make sure they know what they are talking about, ie. read the ToS rules carefully. To report: https://help.forumotion.com/rules-important-points-f10/complaint-against-a-forum-how-to-t12330.htm
Re: complaints
A forum banned one of our members for absolutely no reason, other than she posted on another forum, then we were given a screenshot of a link to a secret forum where they have started a thread with her username as the title.
These people are incredibly sad and are well known for outing people and slagging them off, this is obviously the case or why would it be secret?
Its just not on

Re: complaints
Sorry to say this, but admins can control their forum however way they want. Even if the ban is unjust, there is nothing you can do about it.
BTW, this is not the first time this has happened, so trust me, the litigation link wouldn't do anything as they are not breaking the ToS.

Re: complaints
Its ok to `out` peoples RL ids? Apologies but I dont agree, I had it done to me and its all with my lawyers, I know for a fact that it breaks the data protection act.
Anyway, I gave her the link and al I can do is advise her.
BTW she has a right to see what theyre saying about her.

Hello, It's kinda like 50/50 They have the freedom of speech. If they are randomly giving out her name account info anything like that then that is against the rules/lawadmin.findingthetruth wrote:Its ok to `out` peoples RL ids? They can say her username and talk about her so long as it isn't racist

Re: complaints
Depends what information they are placing up. The ban was legal, but the information placed is controversial. It depends which country you are talking about and since Forumotion is a France based board, I would assume its there laws.
I mean, making a thread and talking about her is fine, but there is a fine line between the topic and cyber-bullying, which is illegal.
Good luck, but its out of the Support Forum's hands.

I dont get it ? What did the other forum do wrong, except starting a debate titled with her name ?admin.findingthetruth wrote:A forum banned one of our members for absolutely no reason, other than she posted on another forum, then we were given a screenshot of a link to a secret forum where they have started a thread with her username as the title.

Re: complaints
other forums will not be shut down unless they are in violations of tos.
this sounds like no violation to me.But this thread should have never went this far. This is not a discussions board. the answer was giving the thread was solved due to the answer. end of story. It is now admin.findingthetruth prerogative whether to take this any further to litigations or pass the link along to someone else. dotDavid in the future if you have any such questions on anothers situation please send them a pm and ask them. there is no reason to go in to a full blown conversation with everyone adding there two cents in on an issue that the forumotion litigation team would handle.
thank you.
