Posts moving

How do I move posts from one topic to another(in old one)?

Go to the topic you want to move. Then click on the bottom that you have chose in the Admin Panel, for "Moved the Topic" or what its called. The bottom should be in the bottom of each topic, as i remember. Make sure that you have the permissions for it

Huh? This moves the topic itself not the posts.

You have to go to the bottom right of the topic, then click split this topic, split selected posts(select the posts you want)and then move the new topic into the forum that has the topic in which you would like to move the posts into. Simply go to merge topic next to put them togather.

Haha no problem its all in good meaning, you were just trying to help.

But I can only split posts to a new topic, not an old one.
For example, I have a topic "Character Application", and I want to move approved applications(posts) to another topic, which is called "Approved Characters". BUT, I can only move them to a new topic, not that old (existing) one.

Yes this can sometimes be confusing.

first you have to split the topic.
In the thread for the post you want to split scroll down to your mod tools and select split topic.

at the very top of the page you will see (new topic title) Type in a new topic title you wish.

Now under that you will see a drop down menu of the forums you are going to send it to. select the forum you wish to send it to.

Now select the post you want to split by checking off the little boxes on the right hand side of the screen.

after selecting all you wish to split from the thread scroll down to the bottom of the page and click (split selected post) on the left hand side of the screen.

Now go to the board where you sent the new titled post and click on the new title/thread of what you named it to.

Once again Go to your mod tools and now select (merge topics)
Now you will see Topics to merge
This topic will be merged to the other topic. (the name of the thread/post you are merging)

and

Destination topic.
(This topic will get all posts from the merged topic.)

Click on select for destination topic.
Now at the top right hand side you will see the drop down menu again.
select the forum on where you wish to move the topic to and hit go.

OK all most there.

Now you will see the list of all the threads in the forum you selected. on the left hand side you will see a Lil circle next to each thread/topic title.
click off the Lil circle for where you want it to be moved to.
Once again on the top right hand side click go next to the drop down menu.

Now once again you will see.

Topic to merge (this will be the one you are moving)

Destination topic (this will be where it's going to)

so make sure this is the correct thread/board you are moving it to then hit send.

now it will ask you if you are sure that you want to merge the thread.
As long as that's where you want it to go and you know it's correct hit yes and that's it.

if it's not then you going to have to do it again but take your time and follow the directions. after you do it a couple times it's easy. however i remember the first few times i tried it it was a lil confusing.

so give it a try if you have any problems i will try to walk you through it one again.

S'cuse me, but I'm stuck on 'merge' part. Where exactly is that? I can't seem to find it. yeah, I'm a noob... sigh...
