changing chatbox text colour

can someone please tell me how to change the chatbox text colour, of the actual messages please

You can do it via CSS but if yo do it, it won't let your users change the default color from the color option on the bottom..

ah ok thanks for the quick answer, can i change the background on the of the parts the messages are wrote on then? there are two colours, im not sure which bit it is on the ccs though and help appreciated
