make somthing impossible to enter

could somone tell me how i could let people see a post in a section but not see anything else in that section unless i give them the link?

that's not possible. you can have certain members in different groups and have the group permissions set to view,post etc.. but you would not be able to block one thread from the other.But if you did not want a certain group to see certain threads/post. then you move the post to a section where only a certain group has permissions to see them. be sure not to leave a shadow if moving a thread or post.
