meaning of it is :

ladder tournament
 –noun Sports.
a tournament in which the entrants are listed by name and rank, advancement being by means of challenging and defeating an entrant ranked one or two places higher.

you can search on google for it's code . in what way are you going to defeats layers and you will need to add a table .

A ladder is not possible with forumotion, because it need php.

For all who dont know what a ladder system is, here is a link to a ladder system from a game that i play:
http://www.duke-gaming.com/ladder/ranks.php

and you can see it needs a php script, and for that you need a own website with your own server.

ps: sorry for my bad english xD

As this person has stated, Php code doesn't work on Forumotion.

Buying a domain has nothing to do with enabling Php code, sorry.

Try finding another way to create a ladder without Php code.

it won't be automatic but you can have a able in which you can put rank,etc .
