Solved Adding Background music to my site. How?

Post by Cyber Dome Prez October 10th 2009, 7:03 pm

I would like a SPECIFIC, STEP-BY-STEP "How To" for adding background music. I tried reading the tutorial but I just didn't get it.

That tutorial sums it up. I guess I can simplify it for you though, go to:

Admin Panel=>Display=>Homepage=>Generalities=>Homepage Message

Make sure html is enabled, to do this just click on the html button, if it has a red plus sign to the left of it then this means it has already been enabled, green means that you need to enable it.

Take this code:

Code:
<embed src="bgsound.mp3" autostart="true" width="400" height="20" loop="true">

Width and height you can edit to control the size, auto start means it will start automatically and loop means once its finished it will play again every time.

Important part: Look at the bgsound.mp3 in that code. That is where your music file code will go. Put it into your homepage message, click the "A/" in the html editor and then submit.

bgsound.mp3 is an example. Just replace that with your .mp3 file.

I did what you said to do. I didn't get music but I did end up with a little "?" on my homepage. Obviously I don't have HTML active. How do I do THAT?
