Adding to the admin panel saga Empty Adding to the admin panel saga

Just a quick query with regards to issues that others have addressed over the past few days.

Was having similar issues with the admin panel disappearing, and was able to get it back following advice found in an earlier thread. I now find however that when someone logs in using IE7 they show up as online, but can't post, use the chatroom and don't have a link to their messages. They are able to log in without any problem, but are a phantom presence for want of a better word. When using firefox (which is an issue for some users with a slower connection) the features all appear to be working (apart from the emoticons which have always been tempermental for some reason).

Is this related to the recent problems?

It's been doing it for approximately 3 days now, so was hoping it may be related to the maintenance issues. We all took a break from the forum and are only starting to filter back now, so that's as close as I can ascertain. Never had any probs using IE7/Vista prior to this with the board but IE7 is glitchy so perhaps the issue lies there.
