Home page message

Can I link a sports ticker within this area? If so how.. I want to be able to see the ticker, not the link.
If I cant do that, then how can I put it on the home page?

I have hotmail enable, and all that but in that area it just shows the link you gave me not the actual ticker, what else do i need to do?
