Links back to homepage

I don't know the technical words for all of this, so please bear with me! In this forum, when you're in a post, there's a listing above with links of where you are (The forum of the forums :: Support forum :: Support forum). In the forum that I'm an admin of, the links don't go all the way back to the homepage, but to the folder just below it (i.e. Support forum :: Support forum). How can I get the links above the posts to go all the way back to the homepage? Does this make sense??

Admin panel > [general admin] > configuration > site name : write the name of your board

However, we have an animated banner so now the name that I typed in shows up below the banner, so the name of the board is there twice. Can I make that not appear, but still have the link back to the homepage?
