the search feature will only bring up the key words.
so you will have to try to be specific as possible when doing one.

I mean search my forum. It's a function to reduce reposts. My users are very lazy and will just post before searching.. So I need it to do a search of their topic while they are typing an display the similar topic on my forum so they can try to read them before proceeding in posting.

well i guess you should make it a rule for you members to search before posting or make sure there is not already a topic open for it.
the sea ch feature works for forumotion but it's only going to narrow the post or topics by the key words that are added with in the search.
