It depends on whether you want to track the users that click that button or not. True affiliate software will track any user's IP address for up to a month when they come to your website from your affiliate link. The software itself will generate the link with the necessary code, either from an image or a text link. You can check out [Link Removed] for more info on that.

If you just want to make a link for another website or e-mail to link back to your website, then it is just a standard anchor tag either attached to an image or using text.
