category name+image -can I ??

hello all
it is possible to insert in any "category name"option & an image-small photo-?
& how to do this
I tryed with the image link & shaws to me the picture,
but after saving & when i go to homepage I can not see it -there isnt-
there is solution/tip about or no ?
