The snow effect Empty The snow effect

Post by matt_m December 3rd 2009, 6:10 pm

Hi,

I added the snow effect to my forum as per the instructions that were posted, but one of my members said that since it was added the page just froze and they cannot do anything on the forum (so i've had to remove it again).

I asked what browser they use and they said Opera.

it could be their internet or ram something like that. I have some members with dial up and or low ram ect and having something to graphic like a fancy backround or snow fx will slow down/freeze them up too

Yes the script does make the forum run slowly, but nothing that can be done since those are user provided scripts.

Go to your Admin Panel>General>Forum>Configuration and in the Site Description box put this code

I've the same problem. I use the code so you get a christmas twig on the left side, it run my whole system terrible slow.

Every forum member had problems with running there browser (FF and IE). Also the chat was terrible slow, so I deside to delete the script and now the problem is over.

It's pitty, because we liked it a lot.
