I think there should be a hit counter at the bottom of the page above the "Support Forum" and "Create a free forum" links, and a hit counter in the Forum Statistics, and there should be a setting in the Admin Panel to choose whether regular users can view the number of hits.

Some sites require that you have so many hits in order to be affiliated with them and I have no idea how many hits I've had.
