Help with Servimg problem
I hope I am posting in the right area. If not, please move to the appropriate area.
Another girl had our forum and decided she didn't want it anymore; so she transferred the "founder" status over to me and another girl. That took forever to get the information. We finally got the email address and password to the ServImg site. My question is: Does anyone know if it is possible to change the email address for it to one of our email addresses without having to recreate the forum? We want the log in for Servimg to be one of us not one that was recreated by the former owner; she still has the information to go in there now.
Many thanks for your help. If you need our forum domain name URL I can PM that to you.
Thank you so much!!!!

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Thanks Mr. Mario that enabled me to change the password in imgserv but they will probably still email the new password to former owner.
I still don't see how to change the email address in the imgserv account as I don't see an option for that. It makes you create a forumand I don't want to do that only have those images into another email account and back to our forum. Plus how to change it in the main group to another email address.
I appreciate your help as we need to get this changed..is it possible?
Thanks!

Re: Help with Servimg problem
dont you have account settings when you log into the servimg account.
See i dont ever use servimg.. But i would think there should be account settings once your logged into the servimg account?
have you tried contacting them?

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Yes Kirk you do...but it only allows you to change the password not the actual email address which is what I need to do. The former "founder" no longer is associated with the group anymore, so we want another email address used. I would contact them but couldn't find any where to find any contact information for them.
Any other ideas please....thanks so much!

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Firstly: I can't see any way of contact either.
Secondly: Can I ask, is there a real big deal if the email address stays the same?

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Yes it is...we do not want the former owner to have any dealings with the admin part of the forum that's why we want the email address changed. You should be able to do this somehow.

Re: Help with Servimg problem
You can change the admin email address, would this change the servimg account?
Re: Help with Servimg problem
No it has to be changed in the ServImg account as it is directly linked to the forumotion.com.
Any other ideas? Anyone?

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Sorry to be a PITA but I'm still looking for the answer to this. As the ServImg is directly linked to the forum and I don't see a way around this. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Why don't you just make a new ServImg account and leave whatever is already in there?

Re: Help with Servimg problem
Make a new forum then once you do that you will have a servimg account then enter that into the details in the admin panel and your done. You can delete the forum after.

Re: Help with Servimg problem
I need the answer to this also.
I accidentally put in the wrong email and need to change it to the correct one. I have changed it on my site but don't know how to in servimg.
There must be a way to change it somehow??

Re: Help with Servimg problem
all you can do is delete the account. you will have to contact the former admin and ask him to click the deletion link that is sent to his email..
you know this is a reason why servimage is garbage and i recommend no one to use this.
i mean come on there are zillions of image host out there.. you dont need to use them. plus this has got to be the worst image host ever.
and i mean what are you worried about anyway.. picf's for the gallery.. bid deal.. all images you add to your forums appearance do not have to be done through servimg.. i use tiny pic.. so i dont see why6 your beating your self up and are so stressed about this.. just use another host. problem solved.
All i have to say. is that if you have to create an account to upload images to them. then there is no reason why you should not be able to contact them, so it's b/s i seriously recommend to all not to even use this servimg garbage host and find something better.
i mean i have had many forumotion forums.. and never used servimg for anything on my forums.Plus so any images uploaded to the gallery or your forums appearance will go to the former admins servimge account.. well thats idiotic too.. if members are going to use servimg to upload pic's to the gallery then they should have to create there own accounts.
it's stupid... lol for real.. i mean you cant contact them for any questions you might have or to change your email.. thats unacceptable.. i dont even know why forumotion would deal with an idiot host like this
