youtube code Empty youtube code

Post by Natas January 21st 2010, 4:03 am

I have added a video section to my forum but can't seem to get the video to come up when you open the post ??
I have enabled html in my admin panel and allowed html in my profile but all that comes up is the script.
I looked through most of the posts here and tried [youtube] my embed code [/youtube] but it won't work.
Am I doing something wrong or is it something thats wrong with the forum.

Try [flash(width,height)] Video Code [/flash]

Example

You can see how much of the YouTube embed code to use here
Code:
[flash(200,150)]http://www.youtube.com/v/dFBBKfw59kA&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0[/flash]

youtube code Break_gray1

Additional code to add a border & search bar

(use up arrow for search bar)
Code:
[flash(400,350)]http://www.youtube.com/v/Jl39guVpofw&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1[/flash]

Sorted :-)

Just one more question though as I don't think alot of my members would be up to putting any code like this in their posts.
How do I get a video button for people making a post ???
Should I be using phpbb3 or something else as I'm using phpbb2....

Hello,

The video button is not found on quick reply.
It is there if you click the 'Post Reply' button.

Just use this code:

Code:
[youtube]Link of the youtube video[/youtube]

or this one:
Code:
[flash(500,500)]Link to flash video[/flash]

or you can use this in HTML:

Code:
<object width="550" height="400">
<param name="movie" value="Link of Video">
<embed src="Link of video" width="550" height="400">
</embed>
</object>

Don't forget to change the size thumright

Alos, the reasson it was not working is beacuse the HTML is invalid, lol

Thanks,
Rob Cool
