Solved Forum Members and Widget Questions

Post by MzCandice February 12th 2010, 9:54 am

I have 3 questions.

1. Hiding Subforums - Is there a way to hide forums and sub forums?

2. I made a bot for my site so that I could test with it when I put it in the female group it came out as having female color but a male ranking Is there a reason why this happened and how do I fix it?

3. Widgets - I would like my forum widget lay out to be my portal layout but when I try to do this the portal stays the same how do I change the layout of my portal?

If someone could help me with these questions I would be appreciated and I also hope that I have explained my questions right. Thanks again

1. To hide sub forums, go to admin panel>display>structure and hierarchy>(split categories on index) set it to medium>save

2.Are there to ranks(not special) with minimum of 0 posts only to achieve??

3. You can change the lay out/skin/theme of the forum by going to hitskins.com and install the theme you like there to your forum.

Solved Re: Forum Members and Widget Questions

For the second question yes I have 2 groups that have 0 one is Guest and the other one being banned.

Ok I went into my rank administration and it looks like this
Owner Special rank Yes
same thing with administrator and moderator
then I have
Guest set to 0 with auto on and no special rank
then
Teacher Tutor Female and Male member are all set to 1 with no special rank
When I put a member in the female members group it has the female members group color but the rank and tag is of a male member how do I make it so that the rank is the same as the group color and tag? I hope this makes more sense.

For this, if you have 2 or more ranks with minimum achievement of 1 posts, you would need to do this manually, by setting it to special rank then if they are male, you can set it to male rank and vice versa.
