Removing 'Most Users Ever Online' Stats from Homepage

Kia Ora and greetings from New Zealand where I run a small mental health peer support network through Forumotion.

On our Home Page are “Who Is Online” stats, which says how many users are online at any given time, AND the next line says something pitiful like “Most users ever online was 18 on Thu 19 Nov 2009 - 9:38”

Is there a simple way please, to remove this second line of ‘stats’, the ‘Most users ever on line’ bit from our Home page? I just don’t see that it ‘helps’ having that particular statistic there, on our mental health peer support group. We already know there are not many of us there.

Are we talking about the forum is in your profile here?
If yes, I don't think this possible by phpBB3.

But, it's possible by phpBB2 (perhaps also by punBB).

Yes, i'm talking about the big black dog message board & chat room. Sorry, I was unsure if I was allowed to actually mention its name.

So, as i said, it's almost impossible in the phpBB3 version.
