I have been asked by some members of my forum if there is some place (they can put a check) on their post/thread that will allow them to be notified when someone posts an answer to their posts/threads?

Press the button that says "Start Watching Post." It should be at the bottom of the screen on the right side.

My guest said he went my Forum but all he sees is "Watch this Forum."
Is that what you mean?

He wants to get an email notification when someone replies to his thread/post.
