Thanks button not shown

the day i made a forum, i never did see the thanks button.

Did:
points and reputation activate done
thanks button image done
thanks button background color set

why does it not appear?

Hi, you can only see the thanks button if a members replies to your topic. Otherwise you can't. So only the topic starter can see it.

It only works when you make a topic.

It only works when you start the topic.

and you see, no where is the thanks button.

It will show when someone replies to the topic then you will see the thanks button in their post.

Still, not showing for me. Tested it again on my test account. Tried to click my post(admin) but no thanks button.

You must add some codes to the templates in order to have it work.

Admin panel > Display > Templates

At beginning of the line containing:

I was wondering why in some topics, the thanks button shows. But in some, it does not.

because i think the thank you is only for when someone gives you reputation, and then you can thank them for giving you reputations/points.

thats all it is for.

So the thanks will only appear to you in the person post that has given you rep. this allows you to thank them.If someone dose not up your rep in one of you post. then no thank you button will appear to you.

do a test with your staff and members. make a post and ask everyone to first hit the reputation + sign in your post. then ask them to reply with something.. now when you go back everyone that has gave you rep should have a thank button appear to you.

so if you go and give them all rep. then a thank you button will appear to them in you post.


If you go to your Reputation management you will see this is what the thanks button is for
it should be at a +3 BY DEFAULT.

I did not make any changes in the Reputation Management.
It is really weird, that in some topics, it appears
and in some, it does not appear, Using admin account.
It should appear in All topics right?
