I've registered my forum domain name with bought and paid for. I typed in my forum address on here to transfer over there, as it appears, following all the help on here previously. friendshipfirst.aforum.free.com.

I type in my registered domain name in the forumation settings in forum address, it says it is not configured correctly.

I phoned the support guys at the domain provider. they set it up for me, tried to link it, it is saying it cannot read my address, friendshipfirst.aforumfree.com.

Do I have to type friendshipfirst.forumation.com? am confused and find the help on here is not resolving the issue.

thanks.

my apologies I typed it wrong, it is friendshipfirst.aforumfree.com, which I have to type in. The site I used is 1 & 1.co.uk, I've paid £35 for this and cannot use it. I followed yours and their instructions and this

''ErrorThe supplied domain name is not well configured
You have no CNAME redirecting to : friendshipfirst.aforumfree.com
You have configured a A type DNS ( A type redirects to an IP address, and not to a textual domain name like the CNAME )''

is the message I get from Forumotion. So what what I supposed to type in the destination/dns field when asked?

Confused and worried I have to pay for something now I cannot use.

thanks x
