    Ok I have a Banned group with a colour.

    I want the members of this group to be shown in that colour but not to appear on the legend.

    Is it possible to do this and how would I go about it?

    It's not possible. In order to have it not appear on the legend, you need to hide it. But if you hide it, then the users won't be colored.
