What is mean by Calendar event?

can any one tell me plz what is mean by Calendar event ?

Calendar events are events that you are your users(if you allow them) can say that something special happens for them on a specific date. The most common example are birthdays(if your users set their birthdays in their profile, their birth dates will appear in the calendar).

Its anyway to have the calendar but deactivate the birthday members ?
I deactivated already but keep show the dates in the Agenda !

I am posting party's in the calendar but in the (Agenda) show dates of the birthday Members too (just the date) and that is confusing.(

Its anyway to deactivate this without have to delete all the birthdays from the members profiles ?
