Link Code That Will Take You to a Different Section of a Post?

I wanted to know if it was possible to have text links in a forum post that will take you to a post further down the page WITHOUT loading up another window.

To explain more clearly -

Lets say I have ten posts in a thread each containing a music player widget with a music album on.
I wanted the first post in the thread to be a mini-index with the album names on, and when the users click on an album title, the page drops down straight away to the post containing the widget with the album in question.

Yes I know it can be done dead easily with ahrefs to load a new page or by making the users scroll down the page themselves, but I just wanted it all done with a little more style.
