Solved Giving/Removing Reputation

Post by GG2012 May 4th 2010, 8:55 pm

Hi,
I would like to know is there a way of how I can exclude and prevent myself and my moderator from receiving negative reputation points (but still able to receive positive)? But, for all other members to still be able to receive negative or positive reputation? I know this may or may not sound right, but is this possible?

Not possible. You can only change how much rep a positive and a negative stand for. You can't disable them for certain usergroups.

You could try suggesting this though. It sounds like a fine idea.

Ok thank you. Can I just remove or deactivate the code for negative reputation completely for all members, but keep the positive. Because one of my members had given me a negative rep. point and I want to erase it from my profile.

I'll just try and delete the negative rep feature and try and clear it off. Because it's near impossible to know exactly why the neg. rep was given, let alone who. So, it's virtually impossible to know if it was given with valid reason and what was said o be improved, or just someone doing it out of pure spite because they know you can never find out who nor why. Besides, I don't like the big red mark now showing on my posts due to it...it makes me look like I don't know what I'm talking about and I do not even know if there ever whas a valid reason or not.

Yes, I'll try bringing up the idea for it. Thanks for the idea.
