banning someone

if i had created a group called 'Banned'

how do i make it unable to see all my forums at all.
please hlp tq

As it is intended for banned users, they shouldn't be able to see your forum anyway.

So as if I had already make the banned group.
I don't have to do anything else and the person in the banned group would not be able to see my forum?

The only way to do this is by banning their IP or making the forum only viewable by guest.

If the banned members are in a group, just check the permissions for the forums, (advanced mode) and uncheck the box(for the banned group) that says 'view forum'

So, if banned, they can still access the forum as guest? Is there a way to make even that impossible?

Actually, there is no complete solution to this issue. You can set the permissions so that guests can't see your forum but that would result in no new registrations. However, you can make certain forums viewable for guests instead of the whole forum.

As for IP banning, it works if the banned users don't have dynamic IPs or if they are not familiar with using proxies.
