Award Alternate Text

Well ive managed to set up a medal field using this method:

Users -> Profiles -> New

Type: Text Zone
Name: Medals
Description: Testing
Necessarily filled?: No
Display: Profile + Messages
Display Type: Icon
Who Can Edit The Field: Moderators
Seperator: Horizontal Bar

I can manage to add my awards from my photobucket by pasting in the BB code for each but I cannot seem to use the HTML code (which has an alternate text for my awards) in the field. To show you what I mean I found another forum which uses a similar award feature as mine and have used the alternative text somehow.


If someone can explain how to add alternative text like shown on mouse over I will be grateful, I have tried using:

But it only shows as text when I try to add it, any help would be appreciated

Bump-de-bump, does anyone have any help? I would appreciate it at least if someone could tell me how to enter HTML code into a field as shown and I would like to sort his out ASAP if possible :\

Its not possible to put HTML in the field.

You most pick image for the field to be able to show pics and to have them next to each other just display the icon not the text with it.

Yeah ive already managed to show the medals next to each other and I tried doing what you suggested but I still cannot get the medals to show the alternative text when you mouse over them, it is possible as the example I have shown was created with forumotion

Choose an Image as a profile field.

Then you can have the alternate text. But this way you won't have multiple awards.
But there is a fix for it. Make one more field of award2, without showing the text & without separating it. So they appear only on one line.

So basically I will need a field for each space for my awards? Eg I make 18 award fields and fill in the image depending on the award a user has earned?

Please mark it as solved by editing your first post, choosing the Solved icon and hitting send. That way moderators are aware that it is solved without have to open it and may lock it quickly. Just makes their job easier
