Importing one forum's theme to another

Hey all,

After failing to get the BBCode to work properly on my forum, I tried changing the forum version and importing it's old theme. Therefore, I exported the theme of my new PHBB3 forum theme (to .bbtheme file) and changed the version to Invision. Then I tried to import the theme back again so that the colors and that would come back, but the forum version would be different. However, I always get the Import Ended error.

Any ideas why? And how I can get my old theme back with a new version?

PS: I've read that themes from other sources can't be imported, but this was exported from my forum, but it won't import back.

Doesn't anyone know? This topic has had over 100 views and not a single reply...

Basically what I want is to have the look and feel of my old forum's appearance (using it's theme), but the forum post look provided by most Invision themes.

Is the only 'true way' of doing this to have an Invision theme and edit all the little details?

Do want to do that you can keep your PHPBB3 and get Invision ?
I'm sure there is an option where once you change the theme you can select something Board Style which is your current theme.
If i'm not mistaken it's in Admin Panel --> Display --> Temporary themes

Alternately you could get your CSS for your current Forum from:

and paste it into a notepad with the *.css extension and when you change your Forum to Invision you can paste this CSS into the Forum's CSS and deactivate the Default CSS in
Admim Panel --> Display --> Colors --> [Tab] CSS Template
