How can I Stick a Topic on my Forum???

guys help me. i dont know how i can made a topic STICKY that is ALWAYS ON THE TOP

When you create your thread, or edit the first post of an existing one, you will have additional options below the text editor box (does not work with quick-reply or when editing a reply)

Could you post a screenshot of what you do see please?
You may have to open the menu, hit the "-" on the far right hand side to open it...

Its maybe you don't have the "plus" and "minus" icons.

I've been trying to sticky a topic, followed this topic to the end and i have got nowhere. I too don't see "additional options" but nor do i understand the "-" "+" reference, should this be ACP - Display - Pics Managements - Advanced mod - Topics-icons - and then what ??

Sorry Gangster but i'm a bit thick on this. What do i do at the " - " " + " icons?

There are currently just symbols on the left, nothing in the centre box.

Those icons will be under the subject box. you have to click it to open then you will see the options come up for your sticky,or what ever else you want to make the post. (announcement, global announcement.)

the subject box is the area where you type in or add content before you submit a post, if you are editing a post then it will still be in the same place under the subject box/board.

Thanks Kirk, but it's not there. I go to 1st post, edit, and below subject box i get a "options" and below that, already open are "calander" and below that "add a poll" finish!! nothing else, no "additional options".

ok where it says option is what you have to open..
you should see a lil + icone on the top right of that options bar.
If you do not see that there then try placeing your mouse over it and see if it comes up then.

if not then you might have it hidden in your pic's managemeant> mini icons

and why would you be giving us this screen shot? it's cant be your forum or you would not be asking how to find it. it's right on the option bar.

oh are you the admin/owner?

if not and your a mod .. then it could be the admin dose not have the permissions set? but if your admin.. then it would be set already by default.

well i will have to see my self.
Um if you want create a temp mod account then send me a user and pass and i will go and see it shows or not.. you might not be placing the mouse over it right gangstar said he did it. i guess he registered not sure..

but it's either your not mousing over it right for it to appare or you have the icons hidden in your pic's management.. if thats the case then you will just have to unchecked the hidden option and re-up the icons.

oh what browser are you useing.. and do you have any codes your useing for tool bars ,pop-out menus or anything like that?
