But my forum still doesn't work I checked hundred times my Administration panel and there is no such thing as "for guest only". Here is the screenshot :

Admin panel>general>configuration.

scroll down to activate adds and the options should be there.
If if the option to set for guest is not back yet on your forums please be patent give it a lil more time.
I am not sure how forumotion add/remove options from the acp, but it might take a lil while befor all forums are restored with the option,but typlo has posted the feature will be returning, so it should not be much longer befor all forums are fixed.

Offf , in my forum I don't have the guest option ! I will wait that Forumotion fix this problem ...

This is bullcrap, like the officiating in the ravens game last night. Unless I'm blind, the option to select who sees ads is COMPLETELY GONE.

I have a suggestion for generating revenue. The current forum searches absolutely SUCK! I think if you teamed up with Google Adsense with their search function (with the ability to search your own site) add a better search box and make money off of that

I have only one acount on my forum... And I dont have option yet for ads to remove.....

Never mind, over reaction. Did not see the previous post stating it would be back soon. My sincere apologies.

What a relief to hear that the guest only option for ads will be re-available shortly. Thumbs up to forumotion for doing the right thing and bringing this back.

In my admin panel, I do not have the option for guests though. I have a setting that says 'Reduce the amount of image ads shown?' and a yes or no option, and that is all I have.

So I await for this to return on my forum...I hope it won't be much longer!

I believe what Typlo was saying is that the Founder's account is the only one who has the privileges to set the ad permissions. All you have to do is have the Founder sign in and set it (once they have updated all of the servers).

Since I am the Founder of my forum, I had no trouble setting it back to Guests only.

If I am incorrect, I apologize.

Well, that's very weird... because I am the founder, but I still don't have any option that I could turn those ads off. In my previous post I attached a screenshoot that shows excatly what kind of options I have and there is no "only for guest" option.

Well, I guess I'll have to wait and hope that this feature is activated for me too

The option for advertisements for Guests only has returned for me, thankfully. Many, many thanks, Typlo & Forumotion. As the AUS$ is so strong at the moment, we are still thinking of paying for ad removal even though they are now gone for members.

There was a revenue raising suggestion suggested, of placing an affiliate widget such as one for Amazon or paying to not have it. This may suit those forums who use widgets but not so for those of us who don't, I'm afraid. Do think the other suggestion to change the system for new forums re advertisements or not, is more viable.

Thank you for the guest option back. Our members are happy once again. This has been a rough few days. I have to be honest and say I was almost ready to move on. Replies from our member just like you guys got here coming to me like I was the one who put the ads up.
I hope the ads stay the way they are with us having the option of guest only.
Maybe take into account people that have been here for a while and how many hits they get. I think it is in less than a week that I have been with you for 3 years. I've been really happy with you guys untill this. Hopefully everything can go back to normal now.

Thank you soooon much for this new addiction to the forum.
I really feel as a privilege to have this new option to show adds just for guests.

Many, many thank you for your kindness and I hope non of my guests go silly at the point to click adds of naked womens and dog food adverts.

I think Forumotion need to survive and all of us are a good business to fell your pockets but again, it isn't your fault .

I would recall this attitude as a last resource of a company in the last legs !!

Alright, I apologize once again for my previous post. I did not see the post saying it would be back. However, it is not back for us. I am sure they are working on it, and I hope my comments have not offended anyone.

Perhaps the reason it is not back for me is because I am only an admin and not the founder? If this is indeed true, we're still screwed because our founder only comes on once a month at the most.

I can see that my fellow Serbian people share the same frustration. We don't have the option for choosing to whom Ads might appear, unfortunately.

[The options were there for a long time, thou. By recent {?} events I know that they're working to fix the problem, but I really do wonder by which priorities ]

Einsteinean you are correct, only your founder can do it, there has been some scrabbling around in this house to find/remember the founder details, but we got in in the end & there it was, that beautiful button marked guest, we are back to normal.

Guess I must be permanently logged in as Founder as I had no problems at all finding the Guests only option. It was such a relief. Thanks FM.
