a friend told me to come here for a forum and on the advert it said free forum and free domain , but now i find that i have to pay for the domain , is the advert right or wrong , harry

To have a domain name like .com or .net you will have to pay for the domain name on a yearly bases. For a sub-domain, like www.myforum.forumotion.com is free.

It is not free domain you get a free subdomain like Harperboy said.

To purchase a .com or a .net, you could try any domain name sites like Godaddy.com to purchase a domain name. These can cost around 13$ depending on how many years you want to keep it.

ok , i went to the above link on monday and got my forum and the address is below so i was wrong and i do have a free domain

it was just that i was going through all the links reading them and i got confused then , us oldies

so is everything ok and ready for me to TRY and setup
