phpbb2 Topic icon in Thread Title

Ive noticed when i switched from phpbb3 to 2 that the Topic Icons no longer appear in the thread by the title.

It still sows up in the Forum category, but once you open up the thread, they dont show up with the thread title like in phpbb3.

Is there a way to make this work in phpbb2

I think that's only possible on phpbb3, I don't see any other versions of forum having it appear somewhere when you create a topic.
